VolunteersWANTED:
On race day (Saturday, June 20, 2009). Fun, friendly, smiling people of all ages and abilities. Needed as event course marshals on bicycle course, as event support station personnel on bicycle and run courses, and in transition area to help with registration and finish line. Must be able to smile under variety of conditions while hot, sweaty, dirty triathletes go by you. Pay: none; Benefits: A fantastic event shirt that you will always treasure and remind you of this day. Perks: Picnic at end of triathlon.
On Monday, June 8, 2009. 6:00 p.m. til 9:00 p.m. Race bag stuffing party at Martinich home, 5227 Black Squirrel Run, Littleton, Colorado 80125 (Roxborough Park), 303-932-1121.
On Saturday, June 13, 2009. 12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m. (after the bike course pre-ride) Set up transition bike racks and perimeter boundary.
On Thursday, June 18, 2009. Noon to 8:00 p.m. Volunteers to help set up transition area bike racks, perimeter boundary, finish line, traffic cones, unload trailers of food, water, and supplies.
On Friday, June 19, 2009. All day. Volunteers to help with swim course (inflate buoys, measure swim course, anchor buoys), mark bike course and traffic signs, mark run course. Help with registration 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
On Saturday, June 20, 2009, before race. Packet pickup. Volunteers needed for helping atheletes picking up race packets, registration from 6:00 a.m. til 8:30 a.m.
On Saturday, June 20, 2009, after race. Servers for picnic. Cleanup. Take down transition bike racks, clear swim, bike and run courses, pack equipment and trailers.
