June 6, 2009, Saturday, 10:00 a.m.  Fast-Tri Univeristy with USAT Certified Coach and ACE Certified Personal Trainer, Ken Axford of Colorado Springs.  Bike course pre-ride.  Meet west end of Wellington Lake (site of transition area). 

June 8, 2009, Monday, 6:00 p.m. til about 8:30 p.m.   Race bag stuffing party.  Volnuteers needed to help stuff all 550 race bags!  Athletes can earn refund of entry fee by volunteering.  Pizza, munchies and juice provided.  Meet at race director's (Robert Martinich) home in Roxborough Park.  Call 303-932-1121.    5227 Black Squirrel Run, Littleton, Co 80125

June 19, 2009, Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.  Volunteers set up and mark courses.

    2:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Camping Check-in.

    5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Packet Pick Up. On site Registration if event not sold out

    7:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.   Fast-Tri University with USAT Certified Coach and ACE Certified Personal Trainer Ken Axford of Colorado Springs.  Question and answer session about triathlon training and racing, and XTERRA Buffalo Creek.

NOTE: A photo identification is required when you pick up your packet (your packet has your race numbers for your bike and for you to wear on the run). You may not pick up someone else’s race packet for them (USAT rule). If you are a USAT member you must show your card at packet pick up. No exceptions. You will be required to “sign” the USAT waiver upon online registration. You cannot register online unless you are an annual member or pay the $10.00 USAT one day license online (youth are $9.00 USAT annual license only). If you forget your USAT card you will need to purchase a one-day license or go home and get it. Annual USAT memberships can no longer be purchased at events. If you recently purchased a USAT annual membership and have not yet received your card, print out a temporary membership card from the USAT web site (these are all USAT rules that all triathlons must adhere to).

8:45 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. Swim warmup

9:15 a.m. START

9:15 a.m. 1st wave (all pros)

9:18 a.m. 2nd wave (XTERRA men ages 25-39)

9:21 a.m. 3rd wave (all remaining XTERRA men)

9:24 a.m. 4th wave (All XTERRA Women)

9:40 a.m. 5th wave (Short Course Men)

9:43 a.m. 6th wave (Short Course Women)

10:30 a.m.  START Buffalo Creek Scramble

11:15 a.m. 1st XTERRA bicyclist expected at transition

11: 00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Kids!!! Bring your water guns. You’ll be hosing down those triathletes that want to be cooled down towards finish line.

11:55 a.m. 1st XTERRA triathlete finishes run

12:45 p.m. START, BUFFALO CREEK SENIOR YOUTH OFF-ROAD TRIATHLON

1:00 p.m.   START, BUFFALO CREEK JUNIOR YOUTH OFF-ROAD TRIATHLON

12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m.  Picnic lunch, chips, lemon aid, water, Rocky Road Ice Cream (the official ice cream of the Buffalo Creek Triathlons)
